For whom?
The expat program is tailored for women/men starting a job in a French speaking country and willing to learn basic expressions and ways to interact in the office with their local colleagues.
What does this program cover?
You will very quickly be able to interact on basic topics with your coworkers. You will learn specific vocabulary and will cover real working-life situations such as:
- Introducing yourself or someone else
- Schedule a meeting
- Ask / give information on professional topics
- Locate something / a place in the office building
- Ask someone to do something
Why is this program efficient?
You will be able to understand the locals and also please them by talking in their own language during short interactions very quickly and efficiently. You will learn the key expressions used in the office and will master the art of enjoying a coffee while chit chatting!
How does the program work?
The program includes 2 online sessions of one hour per week and support with homework, during 3 months.

What will I find in the expat program ?
The Expat spouse program has been designed to go straight to the point on the situations you will have to handle during your settlement, and to cover them all in a short time (3 months, adaptable).
What I will learn?
You will immediately start working on useful vocabulary and the ways locals interact in real situations whatever your starting level is. In the expat-spouse program, you will then start with situations such as:
- Interacting with administrations
- Searching for a place to live
- Grocery shopping and restaurant
- Going to the doctor/hospital
How does the program adapt to your needs ?
I will adapt the program to you both in terms of intensity and content. As an example, I have supported a couple settling in Southern France who bought an old house and completely refurbished it to open a B&B. We worked together on all the very specific vocabulary of construction and refurbishment, the house, the welcome of guests, the potential needs and questions of these guests and even the translation of their website in French.
How does the program work?
The program includes classes, follow-up on homework and a dedicated website with online resources and activities to speed up your progress, over 3 months with 2 sessions of 1 hour per week. Of course, if you are in a hurry, we can plan a more intensive path and raise the number of sessions per week.
